XBOX SUMMER EVENTS

(DISCLAIMER: This is not a leak, report, etc. It is merely my own personal thoughts on stuff that has been floating around.)

Before the COVID-19 Pandemic threw the world into disarray, Xbox was rumored to have a hardware event in April that would have demonstrated Series X hardware and show off a couple of games. After that event, they were going to be at E3 in June for a massive showcase of their upcoming games, showcase Series X, and other exciting announcements. However, COVID-19 had other plans, and lead to the cancellation of E3 and other public events across the globe.

The rumored April event, (Microsoft never officially announced it.), has reportedly been postponed to early May, and will be a digital event. Once again, without official word from Microsoft, this is all conjecture and speculation. But, having a hardware event in April to showcase Series X hardware and possibly debut Fable would certainly keep fans buzzing and give them some positive news.

After the May event (if it happens), Xbox will for sure have an event in June/July that will be their “Digital E3.” This second digital event has been officially confirmed by Phil Spencer as happening, it just remains to be seen when exactly it is scheduled. Mid-June would line up with traditional E3 time, so that’s a good bet, but don’t be surprised if they do end up pushing it back a bit, maybe even into July. In a post COVID-19 world, things are absolutely subject to change. At this event, whenever it does happen, it will be a massive showcase for Next Gen games, hardware, and exciting announcements. This year has certainly been challenging, but good news is just around the corner Xbox fans. Summer of 2020 will be remembered as a true marquee moment for Xbox.
