The December 10th edition of State of Play had a blend of indies and big AAA announcements, none bigger than the official confirmation of Resident Evil 3 Remake. The showcase was brisk paced, but did not feel rushed. While some of the titles discussed come out this year, the main focus was on 2020. With the Video Game Awards happening later this week, more announcements should be expected then, (including a new trailer for Ghost of Tsushima, which was teased on State of Play.) Below is a list of everything shown on this episode.
- Untitled Goose Game (The mischievous goose sandbox game) – Dec. 17, 2019 PS4 release date
- Spellbreak (a Battle Royale magic game) – 2020 release
- Dreams (a developer update on the imagination builder game) – February 14th 2020 release date
- Superliminal (a perspective, puzzle, exploration game) – comes to PS4 2020
- Paper Beast (a PS VR title focused on origami wildlife) – Q1 2020 release
- Kingdom Hearts III DLC RE MIND (both the standard edition for $29.99 & a DLC bundle that includes concert video, along with game content for $39.99) – January 23rd 2020 release
- Predator Hunting Grounds (A multiplayer game where you can be either a Predator or human. Pre-order to get the ’87 Predator Skin & early access to the “Ole Painless” mini-gun.) – April 24th release date
- Babylon’s Fall (Platinum Games’ 3rd person, action game with Code Vein vibes) – more info coming Summer 2020.
- Resident Evil 3 Remake (Officially announced with trailer, comes bundled with Project Resistance) – April 3rd 2020 release date
- Project Resistance (a Left 4 Dead inspired game in the Resident Evil universe, comes bundled with Resident Evil 3) – April 3rd, 2020 release date
- The creator of PlayStation had a brief 25th Anniversary reel discussing how far the brand has come, and where they hope to go next.
- Ghost of Tsushima (a Samurai game by Sucker Punch) – Had a brief trailer, and promised more footage at the Video game Awards on Dec. 10, 2019.
