INSIDE XBOX RECAP

The latest episode of Inside Xbox was a densely packed showcase of various things pertaining to the Xbox ecosystem and fan community: Console Gamepass titles, PC Gamepass titles, Atlas, Children of Morta, Project xCloud, ID@Xbox, Code Vein, The Outer Worlds, Hitman 2, Gears 5, Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Xbox One Bundles, MINECON, Tropico 6, Felix the Reaper, Ace Combat 7, Afterparty, DayZ, and XO19. This is quite a bit of content to cover in the amount of time they slotted for the show. If you already enjoyed Inside Xbox shows, then this is one you would enjoy.

ATLAS

To start the show, Xbox gave a bit of spotlight to Atlas, a massive multiplayer game, set in a Pirate world. This game is made by the creators of Ark: Survival Evolved, the hit dinosaur multiplayer game. In Atlas, players are free to live out their pirate fantasies, whether a merchant, terror of the seas, or an explorer. While immediate comparisons to Sea of Thieves come to mind, the game structure, art style, and mechanics make it clear that this is a different game. Atlas launches into Xbox Game Preview October 8th.

CHILDREN OF MORTA

Children of Morta, a fascinating hybrid of Action RPG and Roguelike, costs $29.99, and comes to Xbox on October 15th. In Morta, the player plays as all six members of a heroic family, being able to change among all the characters as desired. All characters have a unique personality and abilities, which encourages the player to use different characters for different encounters. All the dungeons are procedurally generated, ensuring that the players always experience a new environment as they quest across the 3 Lands in Morta.
