SUPER MONKEY BALL: BANANA BLITZ HD ANNOUNCED FOR CONSOLES

     In a surprising, but welcome announcement, SEGA revealed that they are resurrecting the long dormant Super Monkey Ball franchise, and bringing it to all major consoles. Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD is a remaster of the 2006 Wii title, and comes with a new Decathlon mode and online leaderboards, which are entirely new to the series. This hilarious, and family friendly title, will be released on all consoles (Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One) on October 29^th, 2019. This is just another sign that SEGA is serious about bringing back older IP, and making them available for all platforms, a welcome departure from their exclusive deals in the past. Hopefully, fans of Super Monkey Ball and other SEGA IP support this new approach, and bring them the recognition and popularity they deserve.
