NINTENDO SWITCH LITE ANNOUNCED

NINTENDO SWITCH LITE ANNOUNCED

Nintendo officially announced today a different version of their hugely popular Nintendo Switch, coming September 20th. This Nintendo Switch Lite version, will be a dock-less, portable only version of the console, and will come in several different color options. The main attraction to it is that the Lite version is $100 less than the traditional version. While many players enjoy their Switch on the go, the ability to dock it at home and play on the TV is a big plus, something the Lite version is clearly missing. Also, the fact that the Lite version has a noticeably smaller screen than the traditional version, is a negative as well. Honestly, this console is probably best suited for people who only mobile game, or are looking to be frugal when console shopping. It is definitely not a bad option to have, but the market will probably appeal to fewer than the traditional Switch demographic. Nintendo has a history of making slightly altered versions of their consoles (Gameboy Advanced SP, New 3DS, etc.) so this comes as no surprise at all, and is just another option for the consumer.
